March 28-30, 2008 – JMSB
undergraduates continued their winnings at Happening Marketing 2008
case competition bringing home overall gold for a third consecutive
year, and for the fifth time in the last six years.

The
16th edition of Happening Marketing was hosted by Université Laval in
Quebec City, and with over 400 students attending; it is the largest
marketing competition in the country. Ten university delegations from
across Quebec and Ontario competed in five academic cases, one
marketing quiz, one sport, and one social event. JMSB was the only
university to obtain podiums in all eight disciplines.
The team was comprised of veterans who had competed in previous case
competitions and numerous first and second-year students who plan to
bring a fourth consecutive title for JMSB next year:
"The fact that we have won this competition three years in a row
speaks volumes of the quality and depth of our marketing program," says
Kevin Gardner Gregory, one of only three members who have won the last
three titles, "For J.S. [Belanger], Tareq [Basith] and myself, it's
truly been an amazing, unforgettable ride."
