Latha Shanker

Professor, Department of Finance

Dr. Shanker was a Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of Futures Markets at Columbia University, the Acting Director of the Concordia International Business Program, has held a faculty position in Finance at McMaster University and worked in the computer field in Tata Consultancy Services, Bombay, India and in Burroughs Corporation, Detroit. Her publications include articles in The Journal of Banking and Finance, the European Journal of Operational Research, The Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Financial Practice and Education, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Futures Markets, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of the Midwest Finance Association and Research in Finance.

Her current research interests are futures, options, banking and risk management. Her current teaching interests are financial derivatives and risk management.
