With the faculty since 2000, Raul Valverde holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Management from Excelsior College of the University of the State of New York, Master of Business Administration from EGADE Business School, Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Computer Engineering from Concordia University, Post Master of Business Administration from McGill University and a Doctor of Business Administration in Information Systems from the University of Southern Queensland. Dr. Valverde is also a Professional Engineer in Canada and Public Accountant in Australia and holds certifications in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology and Forensics. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in information technology, mathematical modeling, financial analysis and programming. He has taught at Laurentian University, University of Liverpool and Champlain College. He is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia, Canadian Operational Research Society, Forensic CPA society, Professional Engineers of Ontario and Association of Information Systems. He was awarded the Operational Research Diploma by Canadian Operational Research Society and the academic Fellowship by the Association of International Accountants in the UK.
Dr. Valverde's main research interests include Supply Chain Management Systems, Risk Management, E-business, Information Security and IT Controls, Accounting and Financial Information Systems, Fraud Detection and Reengineering.
