Eligibility & Funding
Eligibility Requirements for “outgoing” JMSB Exchange Students (ISEP):
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA/“B“ average with at least 12 credits completed prior to application
- Registered as a full-time student at the time of application and remain full-time until the ISEP semester abroad
- Minimum of 12 credits remaining to earn towards BComm/Admin for the semester abroad
- Duly completed ISEP application form submitted to Concordia International Office before the deadline
- Mandatory ISEP interview at JMSB following application deadline
- Successful completion of the University Writing Skills requirement prior to ISEP departure
- Proven fluency (written and oral) in the language of instruction of their host institution.

Eligibility Requirements for “incoming” Exchange Students (ISEP):
- Minimum “B“ average equivalent at home institution
- Registered in an undergraduate business major/concentration
- Proof of English language proficiency (certificate from home institution or TOEFL), if language of instruction is not English
- Duly completed ISEP application form submitted to Concordia International Office before the deadline
Eligibility Requirements for Visiting International Fee-Paying Students (VIFP):
- A minimum 2.70 cumulative GPA/”B-“ average, with at least 12 credits completed prior to application (subject to the discretion of the Director of Academic Services)
- Duly completed “Student Request Form” stating institution applied to and for which semester, as well as copies of detailed course descriptions for proposed course of study at the host institution
- Duly completed “Student Request Form” submitted to JMSB Undergraduate Office (GM 201) (The Director of Academic Services will contact applicants within five to ten business days with a decision.)
Important: Please note that students are responsible for all application arrangements at the host institution.
VIFP JMSB student request form
Visiting International Fee Paying Students (VIFP):
- Minimum “B“ average equivalent at home institution
- Registered in an undergraduate business major/concentration
- Proof of English language proficiency (certificate from home institution or TOEFL), if language of instruction is not English
- Duly completed VIFP application form submitted to the Coordinator International Student Affairs at JMSB before the deadline

Funding
The MELS Bursary is open to JMSB students participating in the outgoing ISEP. Eligibility and application information are available from the central Concordia International Office.
Funding sources for incoming ISEP and VIFP students do not currently exist at JMSB. We encourage incoming applicants to contact their home institution for possible funding sources.
The Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec (MEQ) offers Quebec students a bursary of $750 or $1,000 per month while studying abroad on the ISEP, for a maximum of eight months. The amount of the bursary is pre-determined according to the geographic location of the host institution.
To be eligible for the MEQ bursary, students must meet all of the following requirements at the time of their ISEP departure:
- Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant for at least two years prior to ISEP term abroad
- Quebec Resident
- Full-time student
- Twenty-four credits completed prior to departure
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (B average)
