On September 16-18 2008, UFE candidates spent three days writing three individual papers to demonstrate their mastery of accounting concepts and knowledge. Two candidates from JMSB, Derek Benson and Valentina Levina, are proud members of the 2008 UFE National Honor Roll of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).

Selling in particular to restaurants, Bierbrier explains, "The competition in premium beers is ferocious but we've differentiated ourselves in that it's a local beer and we offer service."

Feb 11: The Gazette - RRSPs have come a long way since introduction in the 1950s. Successive governments have opted to forgo revenue in order to encourage Canadians to save. More changes are planned to make RRSPs even more attractive. Lawrence Kryzanowski (Finance) is skeptical that some of the changes will materialize. "I see too many implications for government revenues," Kryzanowski said of letting retirees both grow their savings and withdraw that money free of tax.
