JMSB Wins Third at 2010 JMUCC

March 1, 2010 – Students representing John Molson School of Business won third prize at the 2010 edition of the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC), held February 21-27. JMSB hosted the competition and welcomed nineteen business schools from around the world at the signature event. Royal Roads University took home the winning title and HEC-Montréal finished in second place.
JMSB delivered solid performances throughout the competition and won all the short cases in its division. The presentation for the 24 hour prep event earned the JMSB delegation a spot in the finals. Teams then went head to head with winners of the other divisions. Head Coach Mark Haber described the process as a marathon requiring two very different skill sets and compared the JMUCC to “three sprints and a marathon”.
Congratulations go to the participants that represented JMSB so well: Meaghen Annett, Rocco Masella, Amanda Paquin and Marion Roussel. JMSB participants were also recognized with special awards: Rocco Masella won the Best Presenter Award and Johnnie Vu won the Hospitality Award.
Thank you to the John Molson Competition Committee, Organizing Committee, Executive Assistants and volunteers for all their hard work and dedication in organizing an outstanding event. Thank you to Head Coach Mark Haber for his leadership and commitment to the students. Special thanks go to Malaz Sebai and Christian Bonneau who coached the team for a very demanding competition.
