Colors Of Concordia 2012 (All Day)
Every year the Colours of Concordia Team rides in the Tour de l’Île which is a 50 km bike ride around the island of Montreal. Last year, Concordia’s team had over 155 cyclists representing a multitude of countries. Concordia continues to be the largest group participating in the event.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday June 3rd, 2012 and will kick off at Parc Jean-Mance and as in previous years the Colors of Concordia team will celebrate the end of their ride with a picnic that includes cultural foods, great music and a chance to meet the hundreds of students from a variety of backgrounds.
Make Sure That Your Country Is Included For 2012
Represent your country and have a great time while helping to support the Colors of Concordia Initiative Fund (CCCIF) which promotes cultural diversity at Concordia. Your pledges from the Tour de l’Île are imperative to help us build the CCCIF. "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world... it's the only thing that ever has."
- Margaret Mead, Anthropologist
The deadline to register is Tuesday May 22, 2012. For more information about the event and to register online please visit www.colorsofconcordia.ca.

Royal Bank International Research Seminar - Globalization And Marketing Strategy (8:00 AM)
Globalization and Marketing Strategy
Following the highly successful seminar in Tokyo (Japan) and the first foray outside of Canada, the eighth meeting of the Royal Bank International Research Seminar will be held in Shanghai, China from June 7 to 10, 2012. This seminar is co-sponsored by the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai, China) and the Journal of Business Research. The main topic of this seminar is to explore the relationships among the concepts of global consumer behavior, globalization and marketing strategy. The main objective of this international seminar is to bring together researchers from different disciplines interested in advancing knowledge on the influence of culture and culture change in the development of marketing strategies. The role of culture in the consumer decision-making process, especially in emerging economies, is an area in need of new developments, theories and knowledge in light of the trends toward global consumer markets, the rise of online services, and the rapid growth of new products (e.g., goods and services) around the world.

Concordia University's Top Business Students Elected to Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honour Society
Only the best business students in the world, and the professionals who earned the distinction of the "The Best in Business" during their academic careers, can claim membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. This year's Beta Gamma Sigma inductees from Concordia's John Molson School of Business have certainly earned that title.
Concordia University's John Molson School of Business congratulates
the students who have earned invitations to join the distinct
organization. While almost 300,000 students receive bachelors or masters
degrees in business each year, only about 20,000 are inducted into
lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. Only students who rank in the
top five percent of the junior class, the top 10 percent of the senior
class and the top 20 percent of the PhD, Master's and Graduate Diploma
programs at schools accredited by AACSB International - The Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - are eligible for an
invitation to membership.
Beta Gamma Sigma was founded as a national organization in 1913. Its
mission is to encourage and honour academic achievement and personal
excellence in the study and practice of business. The Society endeavours
to foster in its members an enduring commitment to the principles and
values of Beta Gamma Sigma: honour and integrity, pursuit of wisdom and
earnestness.
Beta Gamma Sigma membership has become a truly international honour.
With the expansion of accreditation by AACSB International, membership
is no longer limited to those who have studied in the U.S. or Canada.
These outstanding Concordia students are now eligible for the highest
recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an
undergraduate or masters program at a school accredited by AACSB
International.
