| Arash Amirkhany's research interests revolve around institutionalization and institutional change. In particular, Arash is interested in processes underlying creation, maintenance, and disruption of institutions. He is also interested in how behavior and strategies of several actors affect the diffusion of ideas and practices in an institutional field. His current focus is on integrating both rational and cultural-cognitive behavioral models with non-logical models (i.e. behavioral models that emphasize the role of emotions in explaining human behavior) in explaining the institutional processes in social systems. Arash is also interested in the areas of strategic management and policy in a global context. In particular, he is interested in understanding the dynamics among institutional settings in the home and host countries of multinational corporations, host country corporations, and global institutional pressures. Arash has three years of consulting experience in petrochemical industries in Iran. |
