Maria Carolina Saffie Robertson (MSc) is a PhD candidate at the John Molson School of Business. Ms. Saffie Robertson obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Chile in 2002 and her Master in Science degree in Management from Concordia University in 2008. Her current research interest focuses on leadership and mentoring. She is interested in identifying the mechanisms that facilitate or hinder the development of successful mentoring relationships in the workplace. She is also interested in the impact that culture and gender could have in the progress of these relationships. Ms. Saffie Robertson has a secondary research interest in performance appraisals in the organization, particularly those that do not follow the traditional supervisor-employee evaluation, such as peer appraisal and 360 degree performance evaluation.
