Bilal Abdul Kader, a PhD candidate at JMSB, has got his MBA from JMSB in 2006. His main research interests are: asset pricing, corporate cash management, micro-finance, and sustainability in finance.

He has taught and assisted in various undergraduate courses in the department of Finance and MIS. He is committed to integrate active learning experience into his classroom in order to empower and engage students using recent methods, technologies, and activities.

He has accomplished several start-up consulting and project management assignments for small and medium companies in Canada and Lebanon. In addition, Bilal has worked for ten years in the Information Technology field and has been concentrated lately on the efficiency of online trading and high frequency trading, ERP and e-commerce integration, and CRM innovation.  

In addition, Bilal initiated several students’ projects in Concordia including the Micro-finance Initiative, the alternative investment society, and the Graduate Entrepreneurship Club.

Dissertation

My dissertation work consists of three essays dealing with the effect of corporate policies on the performance. One essay will examine the impact of certain policies on the corporate cash management practices. The second essay will re-examine the effect of corporate policies on other financial indicators within the national and international corporate context.
