2. How much are the MBA tuition fees?

INTERNATIONAL FEES

The total cost of a JMSB MBA for an International student is approximately $26,000 CDN. This amount, divided into six equal instalments, is based on the assumption that the student will complete the program requirements in two years. These fees are current for the 2007-2008 academic year and are subject to change. These amounts include tuition, student fees, registration fees, and other annual fees, such as association fees and health insurance.

CANADIAN FEES - QUEBEC RESIDENT AND NON-QUEBEC RESIDENT

Tuition for Canadian and permanent resident students is based on a "per term" billing structure. The total cost of the degree is divided over the number of terms a typical student requires to complete their degree. Depending on the student's status (full-time or part-time; Quebec resident or non-Quebec resident), the amounts will vary. Full-time student fees are divided over six billing terms. Part-time student fees are divided over 10 billing terms. These fees are current for the 2007-2008 academic year and are subject to change. These amounts include tuition, student fees, registration fees, and other annual fees, such as association fees and health insurance (optional).

5. Can I transfer credits from another MBA Program?

Transfer credits cannot normally exceed one-third of the total credit requirements of our program. Typically, application for transfer credits is a separate process and is carried out only once an applicant has been accepted to our program. To have credits transferred from another recognized MBA program, the grades obtained must meet our university's admission standards. Thus, transfer credits are permitted only for courses in which the final mark is equivalent to a "B" or higher. It should be noted that while transfer credits may be approved, they are for academic and not financial credit.

6. Do I need to complete an application if I only want to take courses as an independent or visiting student?

To be eligible to take MBA courses as an independent or visiting student, you must have a minimum of a master’s degree or currently be registered in a graduate level program. If this is the case, you may contact the MBA office to arrange for an appointment to register for courses. You will be asked to provide a recent graduate transcript and a current resume. Students who are currently registered in a master’s program at Concordia University should contact their department's program coordinator.

8. What are the differences between the full-time and the part-time MBA program?

The program is the same for both part-time and full-time students. What distinguishes part-time students from full-time students is the number of courses for which they are allowed to register in any given term. The current minimum number of credits for a part-time student is 12 credits per calendar year. A part-time student may not, without permission, register for more than six credits in each of the fall and winter terms. Part-time students may accelerate their progress in the program by taking courses in one or both of the summer terms.

All core courses are scheduled during the day and evening, typically, Monday through Thursday. In the summer, MBA courses are scheduled only in the evenings, from 5:45 to 8:15 pm or from 8:30 to 11 pm, twice per week, over a condensed term of six weeks. View list of MBA course schedules
