From March 10 to 15, 27 universities from 20 cities across Canada will be participating in this year’s 5 Days for the Homeless campaign. For the sixth year in a row Concordia students and alumni will give up the comforts of home for 5 days and nights to raise awareness and funds to help underprivileged youths get back on their feet.

For five consecutive days, students will live “homeless” on campus in order to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and to solicit donations for local charities. The students will make sacrifices, such as giving up access to showers, clean clothes and disposable income in order to make their community a better place. Each participating university will forward the proceeds of the campaign to local non-profit organizations that provide essential services to homeless youth in their cities.

Concordia participants will live “homeless” on the Concordia campus at the corner of de Maisonneuve blvd. and Mackay (outside the Hall building) to raise money and awareness for Dans la Rue to help get kids off the street and back on their feet.
