The CGA Research Centre

The CGA Research Centre was established though a $250,000 donation from the Ordre des comptables généraux accrédités du Québec (CGA-Québec). With the assistance of a special advisory board, strategic direction is provided by the Centre’s director, Associate Professor, Emilio Boulianne. A scientific committee reviews applications for funding.

Goals and objectives

The CGA Research Centre was established to encourage research in a number of areas, including organizational performance, business ethics, management accounting, sustainability and information technology. The Centre’s mandate includes the production of educational materials and articles for academic and professional journals. The Centre is also meant to act as a bridge and strengthen ties between JMSB professors and professional managers.

The Centre acts as a hub for JMSB professors, visiting professors and professionals collaborating on research projects with scholars at other universities, as well as with industry partners.
