Stéphane Brutus

Chair & Professor, Department of Management

Stéphane Brutus obtained his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 1995. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center of Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, North Carolina. Currently, Dr. Brutus is the Chair of the Management Department at the John Molson School of Business in Montreal. Dr. Brutus’ research focuses mainly on feedback processes in organizations. He is interested in formal multi-source feedback intervention and informal feedback mechanisms.

He has published in Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management Review, the Journal of Business and Psychology, and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. He serves as Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Administrative Science and was Chair of the Canadian Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology from 2006 to 2007.
