I have been dealing with the John Molson Executive Centre on numerous
occasions since 2009. I was looking for a development program that will
refresh my knowledge and enhance my skills in different business topics.
My advisor recommended the one-on-one coaching approach as a training
solution and so far, I completed courses in Finance, Leadership, and
Strategy, to name just a few. The Executive Centre has helped me not only to improve my skills in
those areas but also to learn new practices and tools that I was able to
apply to my everyday tasks and responsibilities. I liked the fact that
the program was adapted to my specific needs and that the instructors
were flexible in customizing their material to my industry. We even
worked on real documents and projects from my work environment. The instructors are all very experienced and work hard to teach you
their knowledge in the best way possible. They always use relevant
examples to clarify the concepts. The one-on-one coaching format allowed
me to receive advice and counselling from each instructor and to
benefit from a flexible curriculum. If I had to describe the John Molson Executive Centre in three words, I would say: flexible, available, and competent. Overall my experience with the John Molson Executive Centre exceeded my
expectations and therefore, I am planning on taking more courses with

RONA first partnered with the John Molson Executive Centre (JMEC) in
2009 to develop a training program targeted to all store managers. The
first year, 40 store managers were enrolled in the program and all
regional managers were trained as well, in order to have a consistency
among hierarchical levels. It was such a success! Today, the program is
still offered and so far, we have trained about 200 store managers. In
January 2012, 60 other store managers will start the program. What’s amazing about working with JMEC is that we really work together.
In fact, the mandate became a common project. I felt their support
during the entire preparation of the program, and I still feel it today
as we update certain course material to reflect the priorities of our
company and industry. I always felt that my contribution was very well
received. Together, we customize the modules so that they represent
RONA’s reality and to make the transfer of knowledge to the workplace
easier for the participants. Given that we really liked our experience with JMEC, it was obvious that
we wanted to partner with them again when we had a new mandate for a
program targeted to all managers in our support centres. This new
program includes 16 days of training and the majority of the modules
were assigned to JMEC without any hesitation. Once again, we worked
hand in hand on this project so that the instructors’ material and
expertise reflects RONA’s reality; including our unusual structure and
our business plan. The people making the team of the John Molson Executive Centre are true
professionals; and the instructors are very much appreciated, whether by
our store managers or our managers in the support centres. We wanted
development programs at the MBA level that will add value to our
people’s work at RONA and I can only say that based on participants’

everything they did to help me secure the 3-Day Management Essentials
