Arshad AhmadArshad Ahmad is an associate professor in the JMSB Finance Department. He has authored two textbooks, as well as other teaching materials, including case studies, video series, CD-ROMs, and numerous online pedagogical resources. Dr. Ahmad has been invited to lead seminars and workshops at universities and colleges across Canada. He has also worked extensively as a trainer, consultant and seminar leader in both the public and private sectors in the US, Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, China, and Pakistan.Back to top |

Steven H. AppelbaumSteven Appelbaum, PhD, is an avid enthusiast of organizational development with extensive expertise in organizational behaviour, as well as research interests in downsizing, managing change and transformational behavioural management.A faculty member of Concordia University since 1979, Steven has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work as a professor and a researcher. He has also served as the Dean of the John Molson School of Business from 1983 to 1990. Attaining his B.S. at Temple University in Marketing, followed by his M.A. at St. Joseph’s University in Social Science and his PhD from the University of Ottawa, Steven has excelled in his studies to become the decorated scholar he is today. He has been awarded and credited as the author of the Top Canadian Book for Contemporary Canadian Business, as well as awarded for the Best Paper prize for two years running at the International Business and Research Conference. Bob BabinskiBob Babinski has worked as senior features producer for CBC’s Hockey Day in Canada, as well as for the network’s HockeyVille program. He has published extensively in magazines and specialty publications as a freelance writer and has had his work re-published by a major Canadian publisher, as part of an anthology for use in schools.For the past twenty years, he has worked in the print, television and radio media, covering sports, medicine, general news, politics, arts and science topics. Mr. Babinski sits on the Board of Directors of the Montreal Oral School for the Deaf and is an active fundraiser for several other local organizations. Mr. Babinski strongly believes that everyone has unique writing potential and that writing workshops are the key to unlocking that potential. Gilles BélangerGilles Bélanger, MBA is a bilingual training consultant with extensive expertise in the areas of management and professional effectiveness.He has worked with a variety of industries, including banking, insurance, communications, finance, manufacturing, engineering, transportation, and pharmaceuticals, as well as with various levels of government. In addition to his extensive experience in the training field, he has considerable practical experience in the areas of management, sales, marketing, computing centre operations, and industrial manufacturing. He holds an MBA (Hon), as well as a Certificate in Organizational Communication from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. He is also a graduate of l’Institut Aérotechnique du Québec. Kate Bligh
Kate Bligh is a British-born consultant based in Montreal, Quebec. With a
background in theatre and training actors, she draws on a skill set used
by professional performers in order to enhance the confidence and
effectiveness of her clients. She has provided coaching in
communications & presentation skills (including audience handling
and interpersonal techniques) to a wide variety of clients including
executives at Sony Ericsson and the International Civil Aviation
Organization; professors at McGill and Concordia Universities and at
Dawson and Champlain Colleges in Montreal; and executives at London
University, The Health Foundation and Future-Creative in the UK. She is
a Lecturer in the Departments of Theatre, English, and Irish Studies at
Concordia University, Montreal, and holds an MA in theatre directing

Farès ChmaitFarès Chmait has 20 years of experience in training and consulting in sales, verbal and non-verbal communication, and customer service. He is also an expert in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP*), a technique that is used to improve business communication skills.He has provided over 9,000 hours of customized consulting and training to clients in a wide variety of industries. As a communications and sales consultant, Mr. Chmait has worked in over 20 countries, in four languages. This global experience enables him to understand cultural differences and adapt his services to each client’s cultural reality and corporate setting. In 1990, Mr. Chmait launched Impact-Pro, providing training in business, telemarketing and negotiation skills. Timothy FieldTimothy Field, MBA is a lecturer in the areas of Business Policy and Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Small Business management, and Business Ethics for both the MBA and Undergraduate programs at the John Molson School of Business.Mr. Field is also active outside the University, providing management consulting services to various industries, including retail, biotechnology, telecommunications, aerospace, manufacturing, and IT. He helps his clients develop business plans, strategic plans, and branding and marketing plans. He also provides M&A consulting, production process evaluation, business process improvement (TQM) and training in the area of quality management. Marylène GagnéMarylène Gagné (PhD University of Rochester) is a professor of organizational behavior. Her research examines how organizations, through their structures, cultures, rewards, tasks, and managerial/leadership styles, affect people’s motivational orientations, and also examines the consequences of these orientations for individual and organizational performance, and for individual mental health. She also conducts research on the area of family business succession. She is the recipient of a two JMSB Researcher Awards, a Concordia University Research Award, and a Canadian Psychological Association New Researcher Award, and has published in top organizational behavior and psychology journals. She currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business and Psychology, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology.Back to top |

Guy Bruno LeducGuy Bruno Leduc is an industrial Engineer who has been specialized in project management for the last 12 years. He worked, and was involved in many different industries such as telecommunications, transport, electricity, electronics and metallic structures. He worked in multidisciplinary projects as a Project Manager within medium and large enterprises. Furthermore, he is a PMP, ASQ-CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt) and certified instructor for Primavera, a project-management software. Guy B. Leduc is a senior project management consultant who has trained many groups on Primavera and MS project tools. His devotion to impart his knowledge and his communication skills make Mr. Leduc an excellent coach, trainer and leader for employees of any levels in a company. Sylvie LerouxSylvie Leroux, President of Sylvie Leroux Conseils Inc., and co-founder of Le Groupe Conseils Fauré Leroux, specializes in organizational development and human capital management. Prior to founding her own consulting firm, Ms. Leroux held various consulting, managerial, and executive positions in several major companies.With over twenty years of industry experience, her expertise includes organizational effectiveness, performance management, executive coaching, team dynamics, and human resource strategies. She has held senior human resources positions in major companies such as Provigo Distribution Inc., Pepsi-Cola Canada, and Air France. Ms. Leroux is a certified member of l’Ordre des CRHA et CRIA du Québec and has been a guest speaker for both the International Research Institute and Concordia University. Michel Magnan,
Ph.D., FCA, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and the Lawrence
Bloomberg Chair in Accountancy. He has professional audit experience
with Deloitte & Touche.He has designed and taught professional
development seminars in financial reporting, financial statement
analysis and management control for organizations such as Bombardier,
W.M. Mercer, Ordre des CA du Québec, Canadian Institute of Chartered
Accountants, and Business Development Bank of Canada. He has consulting
experience with Verificateur Général du Québec, and CICA Revenue Canada.
Dr. Magnan's research activities encompass financial statement analysis, financial and non-financial corporate disclosure strategies, compensation and performance management as well as ethics. He is the coauthor of more than 30 publications in refereed journals, both in North America and in Europe, including Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Strategic Management Journal, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Research on Accounting Ethics (forthcoming), European Accounting Review (forthcoming), and Journal of Management Inquiry (forthcoming). David MoscovitzDavid Moscovitz, MBA is a successful business consultant, distinguished lecturer and seminar leader, and advisor to several Montreal-based business organizations. Imed OthmaniImed Othmani, PhD,is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC designation) specialized in Supply Chain Management. He has more than fifteen years of experience in Operations Management, Inventory Optimization, Consulting, and Information Technology. He is a previous instructor of Operations Management for the Executive MBA program at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. He trained hundreds of inventory and supply chain managers throughout the world: North America, Europe, and Asia. Prior to founding Cleon Business Solutions, Imed developed the supply chain consulting practice at Kuehne + Nagel – one of the world’s leading logistics providers. Before that, he implemented Advanced Planning solutions at i2 Technologies, the world leader of supply chain solutions, delivering business solutions to Blue Chip companies. He also developed collaborative business solutions at Ortems - a French technology startup. Imed is now part of IBM Consulting while also working under Cleon Business Solutuions.
