Customized Program Overview

Core Components of a Customized Program

Consultation

In order to ensure that the JMEC delivers the most effective training possible, Centre representatives meet with each organization’s management before, during, and after delivering their program. This allows the JMEC to accurately assess each organization’s needs and objectives and design the ideal training plan to achieve their goals. These consultations can take place on-site, at the JMEC, or by conference call.

Content Development

Working in collaboration with the instructor assigned to each training program, the JMEC develops customized program content for each organization. However, the Centre highly recommends management involvement at this stage, in order to ensure that the final curriculum content responds fully to their organization’s and participants’ objectives.

In addition to the core components, the JMEC can further customize program content by incorporating value-added components.

Value-Added Components:

Needs Assessment

Through online or on-site questionnaires, the JMEC identifies each organization’s challenges and the best ways to overcome them. Questionnaire responses reveal participants’ expectations and guide the content development process.

Pre-Work

In advance of certain programs, participants may be asked to complete an exercise or read a case or article. This preparation allows for more informed group discussions and facilitates interaction between the instructor and the group.

Reinforcement Sessions (Follow-up)

Three to four weeks following delivery of a training program, the JMEC offers a follow-up session to all participants. The main objective of these sessions is to reinforce the knowledge acquired through the program and ensure the skills taught have been fully integrated.

Feedback Reports

After each training program, the JMEC requests feedback from all participants via program evaluation forms. The data collected from these forms is then compiled by our team and sent to the organization’s management. In addition, the JMEC can issue detailed feedback reports that include a program summary, any additional needs that have been identified, and specific recommendations regarding how to transfer newly acquired knowledge and skills to the workplace. This report is an excellent resource for setting organizational training and development budgets.

Program Delivery

Training takes place at the location of the organization’s choice, at any time and on any day of the week. Customization also allows each organization to plan the timetable and stages of completion that best suit their needs.
