Concordia University’s fourth annual John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC) will be held from February 19 to 25 at the Hilton Bonaventure, Montreal.
The JMUCC, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious international case competitions at the undergraduate level, will have participants representing 24 universities from around the world with globally recognized business programs. These include: The American University in Cairo, University of Navarra, Sao Paulo University, HEC Montréal and Dublin Institute of Technology, amongst others.
The week-long, student-run, competition consists of four business cases, all of which focus on real challenges currently encountered by real companies. Some of the companies featured in past competitions were Via Rail, Birks Jewelers and La Senza. Participating teams present their recommendations to a panel of judges comprised of representatives from the Montreal business community. This year’s group of judges includes Peter Comito, CEO of Selectcom Telecom, Tony Loffreda, Head, National Client Group & Executive VP of RBC and Anna Martini, CEO & President, Groupe Dynamite.
The JMUCC is organized by committee of nine dedicated students from the John Molson School of Business and is funded entirely through corporate sponsorship. Among this year’s major sponsors are RBC and Group Dynamite.
