The John Molson MBA moves up to 2nd place in the Corporate Knights’ Knight Schools Survey

A year of hard work in the areas of institutional support, student initiatives and course work have made an impact. Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business MBA program has been ranked second in Canada, according to the eighth annual Knight Schools Survey published by Corporate Knights Magazine.
Modeled after The Aspen Institute’s Beyond Grey Pinstripes Survey, the Knight Schools Survey evaluates how sustainability is integrated into the Canadian business education experience. Traditionally, the survey announces the top ten ranked business schools, but for the first time this year, the rankings have grown to include the top twenty schools. Despite the added level of competitiveness, the John Molson MBA has been ranked in 2nd place, moving up from 3rd.
Student led initiatives are one of the many strengths of John Molson’s MBA program. Concordia students are invited to partake in the MBA Oath, which asks graduates to commit towards the creation of value responsibly and ethically. In addition, The David O’Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise, the MBA Community Service Initiative, and the John Molson Sustainable Business Group all have important internship and consulting programs in place to assist communities locally, nationally and internationally.
Interim Dean Alan Hochstein explained that JMSB is committed to integrating sustainability in the overall student experience.
“Social responsibility and sustainability have become synonymous with JMSB. From the Sustainable Business Conference, to consulting services by students for local community groups and small businesses, to volunteering in Africa through the International Community Outreach Program and fundraising for the homeless; all of these initiatives support JMSB’s mission to “create responsible global citizens”.
