The competition challenges students to compete in three different fields: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Taxation. The JMSB team only participated in Financial Accounting.
The competition also required participants to complete a “Fundamental Knowledge Examination” questionnaire. Students had 60 minutes to answer 25 multiple choice questions that cover all accounting and taxation principles.
Congratulations go out to Audrey Landry, Sasha Lalonde and Stanislav Shadrin. The JMSB team finished in a tie for first place with University of Ottawa.
Audrey Landry was crowned winner of the “Golden Calculator” prize to recognize the best score on the Fundamental Knowledge Examination.
Thanks to coach Basel Arafe for accompanying the team to Ottawa. Thanks to coaches Patrick Gagnon and Gail Fayerman. All coaches were present for their team and helped in achieving these great results. Special thanks also go to Head Coach Mark Haber for his support of the competition program.
A very special thank you to our exclusive sponsor, Pfizer Canada, as well as solutioncellulaire.ca, Concessionnaire Autorisé Rogers, for their support and encouragement of the case competition program.
