November 21, 2010 – The John Molson School of Business competition program attended the Human Resources Symposium, one of the four REFAEC (Regroupement des étudiants des facultésd’administration de l’Est du Canada) competitions held across Quebec. Nineschools attended the HR Symposium, held at Université de Sherbrooke.
The event was well run and the competition was strong. Team JMSB fought hard and earned two second place and several fourth place finishes.The overall results placed JMSB fourth after Ottawa, Sherbrooke, and Laval respectively.
JMSB would like to thank the entire delegation who attended the competition as well as all the coaches and students who accompanied the competitors. JMSB’s presence at the competition was significant and showed JMSB’s strong school spirit and passion for the competition program.
The competition program would also like to thank coach Aaron Dresner and head coach Mark Haber for their support and help during the competition.
Special congratulations are in order to Rebecca Golt, Valerie Larochelle and Louis Martyres for a nail-biting second place finish in the Quiz category. Thanks to their coach Matt Fishman. Congratulations to the Walleyball team members Terrence Dobson, Nick Henderson, Frank Belanger, Stephanie Sun, Jenna Yee, Maud Andréa, and coach Louis Blaquiere, as well as substitute Etienne Pilon Choquette for the amazing effort put into the Finals.
