JMSB Wins Gold at the Excalibur Tournament in Human Resources

March 22, 2010- Concordia University's John Molson School of Business took home the title at the 24th edition of the Excalibur Tournament in Human Resources on March 19-20. Twenty-three teams from across Canada took part in the event organized by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés and supported by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations. The University of Waterloo and the University of Saskatchewan won second and third place respectively.

Participants were faced with a first round of three cases and presentations. Seven teams were later selected for the final case and presentation before a jury panel of eight professionals with expertise and industry experience in human resources.

Team JMSB, composed of students Rebecca Golt, Scott Fisher, Mitchell Robitaille, and coach Aaron Dresner, delivered a strong performance that truly impressed the judges. Judges and industry professionnals remarked that team JMSB's business approach, self-confidence, harmony as a team, seamless and passionate presentation style were key elements behind the team's winning success.

Special thanks go to Head Coach Mark Haber for his dedication and leadership; Matthew Fishman for his guidance and coaching; and Andrea Roncal, team alternate, for her moral support and encouragement. The team also thanks the John Molson Competition Committee, alumni and supporters in helping the human resources teams reach their full potential.
