\nNow is the time to get in volved and to support your school while representing your country.
Sunday\, June 6\, 2010: Be part of our team!
Every year for the past 7 years\, the Colors of Concordia team has bee n composed of people from all around the globe riding in the Tour de l’I le de Montreal. Last year\, the group comprised more than 350 members from 75 different countries.


We participate as a team and th erefore we will all meet at a nearby park before the ride starts. Afterwar d we will celebrate the ride by gathering at a park where we can share our experience and enjoy a free picnic with cultural foods and lots of activi ties.


Additionally\, Mona Sénécal will be participatin g this year as a cyclist for the very first time. She has already begun he r training for the 52 KM bike ride and is hoping for the support of past a nd new participants to help push her all the way to the finish line!

It is that ti me of year again and JMSB is having its third annual Toy Drive for the Mon treal Children’s Hospital Child Life Department.

Last year s collection was a great success thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Concordia community. More than 200 toys were collected and sent to t he Montreal Children’s Hospital and the event organizers Eva Ferrara\, M ona Senecal\, and Jay Mazzamauro are asking the community to open up their hearts to this worthy cause and bring a smile to a sick child’s face on Christmas morning.

“All we really need is the will”< /h2>\nThis year’s goal is to surpass last year’s amount and collect mo re than 200 toys. The event organizers are relying on the enthusiasm and support from the members of the Concordia Community to make this happen.< br />
Unwrapped gifts may be dropped off at any of the locations bel ow until Friday\, December 10\, 2010. Wrapping will be d one by the hospital\, since volunteers will have to sort the gifts by age and gender. The toys will then be delivered by the wonderful elves from D istribution Services.\n

Please note that the hospital requests that there be no toys of a violent nature\, and no used toys.

\nThe John Molson School of Business is organizing th e 10th International Conference on Governance\, in Montreal\, C ANADA\, from May 30 to 31\, 2011.

Previously held in Montreal\, Mons\, Strasbourg\, Geneva\, Bordeaux\, Florence and Metz\, this event ha s been providing a forum for scholars interested in corporate governance s ince 2002.

Because corporate governance is at the crossroads of several disciplines (management\, finance\, law\, and economics\,...)\, i t provides opportunities for high quality research papers. Papers that uti lize any of a broad range of research methodologies and analytical framewo rks will be considered.

Full papers\, in French or English\, sh ould be submitted before February\, 21\, 2011\, by e-mail to cig2010.Montreal@gmail.com (word and pdf format accepted).

Submissions will be anonymously reviewed by two members of the scientific committee. Authors will be notified of the committee’s decision by April 6\, 2010. Final acceptance of the paper will be subject to registration b efore April 26\, 2010 and presentation of the paper by at least one of the authors.

Last year’s collection was a great success thanks to th e overwhelming generosity of the Concordia community with over 1\,000 toys collected\, and this year’s goal is to surpass that total. Once again\, organizers Eva Ferrara\, Mona Senecal and Jay Mazzamauro are asking the C oncordians to open up their hearts and bring a smile to a sick child’s f ace by supporting this worthy cause.

Unwrapped gifts may be dro pped off at any of the locations below until Monday\, December 17. Hospit al volunteers will sort the gifts by age and gender and will wrap them as well. The toys will then be delivered by the wonderful elves from Distrib ution Services.

The organizing committee would like to express its gratitude to Danawares Corporation\, who will be selling Concordia toy s at cost price. Cash donations towards these purchases are welcome!
