Nov. 10 - Congratulations to Meaghen Annett, Adrienne Cadloff, Andrei Sabau and June Svetlofsky for their solid performance and hard work.
Four undergraduate students from the John Molson School of Business participated to the prestigious Citi International Case Competition (CICC). Held in Hong Kong from November 1 to 6, 2009, the seventh Citi International Case Competition is jointly organized by Citi and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s School of Business and Management (HKUST Business School), and sponsored by the Citi Foundation.
This high-caliber business case competition gathers schools around the world. Students work in their teams to present ideas and solutions to manage the strategic challenges and managerial dilemmas faced by global business leaders. It also provides a forum for cross-cultural exchange of ideas and the sharing of experiences. Each team was required to conduct an in-depth analysis of the available information and provide strategic recommendations regarding the "Octopus" card system within 24 hours followed by a twenty minutes presentation. A judging panel comprising of well respected members of the business community evaluated the teams.
The JMSB team was beaten by the 2nd place team, University of Southern California. University of Melbourne won the title of the Citi International Case Competition 2009, beating 20 other outstanding teams while National University of Singapore finished in third position.
JMCC would like to thank Head Coach, Mark Haber, as well as Jessica Andrews, lead coach, for her dedication and work to the case competition program.
