Colors of Concordia team complete 2008 Tour de lIle

Over 375 Concordia University students, staff and faculty members signed up to the annual 'Colors of Concordia' team to ride in the 50km Tour de l'Ile on Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Organizer for the team, Ramona (Mona) Senecal, secretary in the John Molson Undergraduate Programs office, was pleased with the turnout. "I was truly inspired by the participants," said Mona. "They came out in force despite the miserable weather."

The team attracted media coverage by the Gazette and La Presse, who both interviewed Mona on her voluntary fundraising work which manages to attract the largest team to the annual event. Altogether, they raised over $7,250 towards a fund which promotes cultural sharing and diversity initiatives at Concordia University.
